Blind ecosystem - Chœur tac-til
La conversation se mêle à des vocalisations collectives. Leurs orientations sont en cours de redéfinition, leurs articulations d’autant mieux attentives les unes aux autres. Auto-défini comme « échosystème vocal non voyant à voix multiples », insufflé en 2012 par Natacha Muslera, le collectif Chœur tac-til se présente comme « neuf voix, voyant·es et non voyant·es » dont la pratique « consiste à écouter et imiter les écosystèmes sonores. » Mais comme l’emmêlement des voix n’a pas de raison de s’arrêter, tous les entrelacs réunis sur l’album Blind ecosystem cherchent un équilibre entre des paroles sur le vif et des airs peut-être anciens, mais surtout une belle largeur d’espace entre les balises de la mémoire. Autant de lignes vocales aux aguets de l’ampleur que l’environnement peut faire résonner.

Manchmal scheint auch beim "Blind Ecosystem" (UnRec) vom CHOEUR TAC-TIL Übersinnliches im Spiel. Zumindest lässt sich bei den neun "Objects" (plus einem kurzen "Interlude") nicht immer sicher bestimmen, ob die jeweils zu hörenden Geräusche denn nun einer menschlichen Kehle oder einer leidenden Maschine entstammen (aus dem Jenseits sendet hier dann aber wohl doch niemand). Wie auch immer – in diesem französischen ChorProjekt (dazu gesellt sich auch noch der Elektroniker Lionel Marchetti) treffen sehende Menschen auf blinde und machen gemeinsam, wenngleich mit unterschiedlichen Erfahrungshorizonten Musik. Besser gesagt KlangKunst: Summen und Röcheln, Zischen und Brummen – die Möglichkeiten reichen von der klar-schwebenden Intonation seltsamer WortFetzen und FeldMitschnitten von Partys (angereichert um ein wenig Donaueschingen-Geist) bis zu frankophonen KaraokeVersionen von Queens "Bicycle Race" oder Gassenhauern à la "My bonnie is over the ocean". Niemals aber kippt hier irgendwas ins Klamaukhafte – es bleibt konzentrierter KlangAvantgardismus.

Back in 2012, Natascha Muslera founded a mixed choir (male and female voices) with blind people and people who can see and everything in between. They developed a system without written scores in those 11, now 12 years. Hints of Ligeti (think Atmosphères in the 2001: A Space Odyssey soundtrack), ambient recordings of Marseille, the home town of the choir, the forest and colloquial conversations (a hilarious dialogue in 'Objet IV': a blind person (as I imagine) saying tu vois (you see), about objects around the house that move, my French is not good enough to understand everything). What is also in the arsenal of the choir is mimicking insects, birds, and natural exotic surroundings (object V) in general. The choir did a tour in Japan, and some Japanese were also thrown in for good measure. In 'Objet VI', snippets of songs appear: George Brassens’ 'Les copains d’abord' floats by, for instance, and My Bonnie lies over the ocean. In the last 'objet', the choir mimics seagulls over a humming vocal drone that slowly changes pitch. Overall, what Muslera composed and the mixed choir delivered are pretty impressive. The choir sounds homogeneous, essential to pull off this kind of music and inhomogeneous if necessary. I sang in a few choirs in the past. Believe me, not every choir can do this. In short, listening for people who want a different kind of choir with superb delivery is essential. (MDS)
